Projects, paint colors and more!

HEY there! Are you ready for the weekend? So ready!

I am very excited to tell you I FINALLY have a site redesign coming soon – it’s only about five years too late. Seriously. I’m stoked about it and I’ve been cleaning up some issues with the site to get ready.

I fixed a domain problem a few weeks ago and when I did my blog roll disappeared. I heard from many of you and I’m doing my best to remember the blogs I had on there! If I am missing one you loved, please email me at thriftydecorchick (at) gmail (dot) com and let me know! I think I have most of them back up but I know I am missing some.

I’ve spent a lot of time updating the projects page for you as well. It was all wonky for a bit and I’m not sure why, but it’s fixed now. You can find a ton of information there, including the paint colors in our home:

All in one spot! Whoot!

I have a few other topics grouped on there as well, including some of my favorite DIY projects, holiday decor, organizing tips and some of my favorite recipes:

I included a list of the home tours I’ve shared on the blog too, so be sure to check out those as well!

I’ve also done a ton of updating to the FAQ page – it was totally out of date. (Hangs head in shame.) I share the sources for all of the drapes in our home:

As well as the furniture I get asked about most:

If there is anything I missed on the questions page please let me know here!

I hope these updates will help you find projects and content even easier. The new design will clean things up quite a bit and I’m thrilled that I’ll be able to streamline some items.

Until then, remember you can subscribe to my feed here and feel free to subscribe and get my posts via email by looking for this on the sidebar:

  2. I wondered what happened to your blog roll! You used to have Better After and The Nester on there, too. Maybe you can add them back in? Thanks!

  6. Did you have your paint color analytical gray lightened any? I just painted my boys room that color and I love it but it's a lot darker than what's in your home. I'm sure it has to do with all your natural light and computer screens too.

    1. I did not -- I'm guessing it's the natural light. It really makes such a difference! If you lightened it I bet it would look great (if you feel like painting again, ha!).

    2. LOL I am NOT painting again! World's worst painter here! I don't mind the color actually, I was just curious. I am finding it is SO easy to decorate in their rooms with it. Thanks!

  7. This should help you recover your blogroll...it's a scrape of what your blog looked like on Feb 1: http://web.archive.org/web/20150201212411/http://www.thriftydecorchick.com/. Super useful tool :)

  8. I've been working on a site redesign, too, and it's a little overwhelming when you've been blogging as long as we have. Lots of pages to address and redo! Good luck with yours -- I can't wait to see how it turns out! :)

  9. EEeeeee paint colors! I love your greys and I love the blues you have in your home. I don't know how I missed your blue walls for my post about gorgeous blue.

  10. I just love your blue /grey hues on your walls. I still have four shades of swatches on mine trying to decide which ones.

Plus, I knew there was a reason my stats dropped so much. ;)
