Please.
My mind is positively swimming with projects I have done, I am planning on doing, and I WANT to do. Does this tell you anything???:
You know how you sometimes wonder, "Wow, how does Hobby Lobby stay in business with such great sales?" Uhh, that would be ME.
It's so bad lately, they know me by name when I walk in -- instead of "NORM!" -- it's, "SARAH!" And it's not just hello, like, "Hello-customer-like-everyone-else." It's hello like, "Well hello there, I-have-seen-you-15-times-this-week-and-it's-only-Monday."
I was thisclose to running to Lowes tonight to pick up supplies for another project...but I stopped myself. Because I already have ALL of these to finish up...
This I got at a garage sale for $15!! A-door-able! Can't decide what color I will paint this yet...
These...(Oh kitty, you look GORG!)
This is part of the inspiration for the Bub's big boy room: (clearance for $15, yahoo!)
My Uppercase Living order I still haven't done anything with:
Ohhh, Homegoods, you are TOO good to me -- $15 BABY!:
Five bucks for this one, and it will hold the Boy's books in his room:
I'm going to TRY to make this into a Christmas tree stand: (for $3!)
I got this today for $.99 at Goodwill -- I have grand plans for it. Three women were trying to grab it from me while I was in the store, and I was fighting the old biddies off -- BACK OFF WOMEN!! It's my Christmas topiary/branchy/greenery/berry thingy!!
My craft table. Egads. Help me.
This is one hidden on that table:
So is this one -- a buck!!
Ohhh, here's part of my goodies for my first giveaway! Yaaay!!
And I can't wait to show you what I do with this one! ;)
Could you all just please stop posting all these cute, cheap, quick, awesome projects that I want to copy that minute??? Puhleeeze? My husband is I am begging you!!
cant wait to see how they all turn out!
ReplyDeleteI too cant wait to see the finished project.
ReplyDeleteSarah, I love seeing your project. You are so clever. And you do things on a budget. What more can a man ask for??? I do understand that you are supporting Hobby Lobby!! Believe me all of the salespeople at the home decor stores around here know my first and last name!! My hubby would not appricate knowing that!! lol
ReplyDeleteHugs, Terrie
I know what you mean about all the projects...I keep seeing all these great ideas and have to keep telling myself that I can't do them all. I just keep reminding myself that less is more! I used the same picture as the inspiration
ReplyDeletefor my son's room...check out my post "inspiration turned reality" to see the finished room. What color are you going to paint the desk/chair? I think red would be great if it will work in your room.
I know what you mean. I have been over at Chris today, reading blogs, making a lists of stuff. Then went to Hobby Lobby and bought lots of stuff and started on two projects.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it so much fun though. :)
Hahaha! I'm glad I found someone who thinks like I do! I too have projects out the wazoo! Can't wait to see all of yours finished!
ReplyDeleteWe must be related. I'm keeping Hancock Fabrics in business and plan to do the same with JoAnn's when it opens soon. Thank cats that Hobby Lobby is a longer drive or I would own the place!
ReplyDeleteI will be of no help whatsoever.
ReplyDeleteAs a matter of fact, this post was kind of like waving a Krispy Kreme in front of a woman on a treadmill...
Let me know if you figure out how to get it all under control. I'll be wading through 100+ bookmarked projects until then! :)
This is hysterical!
ReplyDeleteKeep 'em comin', Lady! I need to copy SOMEONE!!
ReplyDeleteI am so in the same boat. I need to STOP!
ReplyDeleteYou're a girl after my own heart---more projects than time to do them. If only we didn't have to sleep!
ReplyDeleteOoo looks lik you are going to have fun :D I wish I had time to do stuff like that. sadly it is homework for me if i am going to pass my class with something higher then a D :P
ReplyDeleteIt's an addiction, isn't it? I have my own list, but it's all just in my head and making me crazy...I need to write it down and make a plan.
ReplyDeleteWork hard and fast I can't wait to see it all done!!!
ReplyDeleteYou inspired me. I already made my trip to the Goodwill and blew $50 (and almost everything I bought was $1). This Christmas it's homemade all the way. I'm almost tempted to take a pic of my bedroom floor to show you my own pile. ^^
ReplyDeletehahaha!! You totally sound like me!
ReplyDeletei can't wait to see what your going to do with that box and paint either!
ReplyDeleteOh I can't wait to see the finished projects!
ReplyDeleteMy heart is beating to fast.... LOL My art room looks just as bad and I had to sneak the bags in yesterday I felt so guilty! OH ME, it is that time of the year when creativity just goes wild!!
ReplyDeleteHave FUN!
Hugs,
Yvette
I am SO hitting Good Will today! HA! And America's Thrift Store and Bethal Bible Thrift and Cottage Thrift. HA! I tell you, you've been SUCH an inspiration...I can't even thank you enough. My house is transforming every day. MUUUAHHH, I could KISS you. LOL Stop by my blog sometime and see what you've started...
ReplyDeleteGirl, I completely understand. I am right there with you. Before we moved, I was at Hobby Lobby all the time. Of course, now we live in a state that doesn't have Hobby Lobby (don't worry, the JoAnn's Superstore is helping me through my grief). Anyway, my craft room looks much like yours.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see all your finished projects!
Oooh, I can't wait to see ALL of these projects. You are so good and creative! I get so much inspiration from you and love doing these projects around my house inexpensively! Trust me when I tell you...I will be at Goodwill next time I go to town. You are GREAT!
ReplyDeleteI am getting craft envy.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see how they all come out! :D
Oh what a tease. I can't wait to see everything!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous that you have a Hobby Lobby nearby! My nearest one is 50 miles away so I only get there once a month or so. The only "craft" store in my town is Walmart. :o(
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your projects!!
Wow, I can't wait to see how everything turns out!
ReplyDeleteHurry up and get to craftin' girl!! I can't wait to see the *afters*!!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's a lot of projects you have going on there! I can't wait to see what you do with them all.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see how all your projects turn out! I am also on crafting overdrive... unofortunately, I live an hour from Hobby Lobby, but I've still managed to go 3 times in the last 2 weeks. :)
ReplyDeleteomg- i am SO on board with ya!! those hobby lobby bags CRACKED me up!!! i throw out my craft store bags before i get into the house- hahahahha! can't wait to see what you m ake. i'm so glad i found your blog- i love seeing what you're doing!
ReplyDeleteSarah, thanks to your post I don't feel so bad about the million projects screaming to be done around my house. Best advice, start with one, take your time and make sure you enjoy it. Thats all us craft a holics can do.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, nothing like blogging to get your project list increased, creative thoughts swirling a million miles a minute and wait only a few days to finish ALL OF IT! What will we do? Sounds like we are already behind, unless we hire a staff like Martha!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Debbie
At least you're partially through the projects. I see things that I want to do, then forget about them before I actually do anything.
ReplyDeleteOk seriously you are so cute! How funny is that. I wish I had a hobby loobby to go to where everyone knew my name! I am so excited to see what you do with all your fun items! Since I have started this blogging thing, I too have a list of projects. My husband is wondering what the heck is up with me! :)
ReplyDeleteWow, you've got some awesome stuff there.
ReplyDeleteIf I had a Hobby Lobby here, they'd know my name too - which also happens to be Sarah. :)
I'll be back to see what you've done with everything.
Wow, you have some great ideas and are awesome with finding the steals. One of my favorite things is shopping the clearance at Target. I found 2 tall awesome lamps for $10 each, 2 cute paintings for $2.50 each and tons of cute frames for $1.25! I love a great bargain...now where do I put them all?!
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny! I have the same problem and it's getting worse with all the Christmas ideas LOL
ReplyDeleterue
I have a binder of projects (things I print from the net, or tear out of a magazine, etc.) The theory is to do the project, then move it to the finished binder, with a picture of what I did. The finished binder is currently empty. Good luck! I can't wait to see what you come up with (so I can put it in my to do binder ;) !
ReplyDeleteHa, ha! This post made me laugh. Probably because I can totally relate! Too many projects, too little time. Thanks for visiting my blog. I'm off to see the rest of yours.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great post. I laughed all the way through it! Now I don't feel as bad about all my Hobby Lobby receipts!
ReplyDeleteShannon
Wow, I can't wait to see what you do with your projects! With one little one at home and an infant I haven't been able to get anything done. I can't wait to get back into my crafts especially my newest hobby-thrifty home decorating! :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't left a comment before but you are just so fun, so real, and so smart I had to do it! Thanks for all your posts, I have so many things I want to try. :)
ReplyDeleteNicole
I am so with you. I can't tell if I am nesting or if this is the new norm! I woke up this morning with an insatiable desire to paint, that can't be healthy right?
ReplyDeleteMaybe we should start a support group for crafting addiction? My fear is that we would just end up crafting even more.
ReplyDeleteMy husband keeps finding crafting supplies that I bought and hid from him. My classic response is to roll my eyes and say, "Uh please. I've had that for years."
Just think of it as you're doing your share to help the economy!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the end products!
I'm excited to see what you do with the desk....I love old fashion desks & chairs....
ReplyDeleteYikes! I am officially addicted to your blog. I check it several times a day in the hopes that you might post another project!
ReplyDeleteNancy P
Does your son like Thomas? I have been buying mine at Michael's with the 40% and 50% off coupons. I have several for Christmas and birthday is in Jan. I am also making a bag with Thomas fabric for books for church.
ReplyDeleteYou CAN'T stop now! There is no turning back! You must keep going! Ha Ha! Please don't stop, you have given me such great ideas!
ReplyDeleteI have a question--when does copying someone stop becoming flattering and just become annoying??? Are we all annoying yet?
Looks just like my craft room- Only yours looks better. Can't wait to see all the goodness that you produce - now stop buying and get to work! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL I love how you had to fight off the old ladies at Goodwill. Can't wait to see how everything turns out!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, but if you stop, my house is doomed. You are the reason I had the cutest Halloween decor on my kitchen buffet.
ReplyDeleteSorry, but it's a co-dependent type of thing. I need you to keep doing your thing so I can keep doing my thing.
If only I had a Hobby Lobby in my neck of the wodds... if only.
Girl, I'm lovin' it! This post got my creative juices on overdrive. My living room is overrun with my craft supplies. Have oodles of fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking very forward to seeing what happens with all of this stuff. Hurry please. *just kidding*
ReplyDeleteWow!! Now we expect a post on all finished projects... LOL... I am with you on keeping Hobby Lobby in business.
ReplyDeleteLeslie
Oh this post is hilarious! I needed that laugh! THanks.
ReplyDelete♥Jen
You are so very clever! I cant wait to see how they all turn out...
ReplyDeleteI understand about yhour brain going into overload! Mine does it too... I often lay awake at night thinking up creations...
you sound like you are on craft overload! your projects sound great though. can't wait to see them come together.
ReplyDelete~nicole
Oh how I relate. You should see my laundry room. That's where I dump all the stuff I buy to do all the projects I see in blogland. It's out of control. Can't wait to see all that you do.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds! I love you linky for your favorite things!!!! I am anticipating some projects with those goodies.
ReplyDeleteI got the same desk & chair at a garage sale this summer. Sorry but I got the lady to throw in a bench made from an old spindle bed and a dry sink. all for $20. I plan on painting the desk black, once I get off the ugggleeee bluish, green antiqued whatever were they thinking color off. My projects this year started off small until this weekend and BAM! I have a bunch to do in a short time. My 6 year old wants to make sugar ornaments for her tree this year. Anyone know where I can get a Barbie cookie cutter because her "theme" is Barbie. I don't know where she gets it.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see all the wonderful things you come up with!
ReplyDeleteGirl you are on fire! Wow!
ReplyDeleteI love that bookshelf or book holder, and the Mickey buttons. Cute!!
Don't hate me, but I went to see New Kids in concert again Monday night in St Louis!! I posted some new pics and video if you want to check it out.
A woman after my own heart. I too have a laundry list of unfinished projects. I actually got one done yesterday. It's absolutely adorable. I plan to post pictures in the next couple of days. You'll have to stop by and check it out.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your nice compliments!! Much appreciated! Looks like you have lots of projects and receipts! I bet I have more!! He He. I am doing a christmas show the first week of Dec. so I shop Hobby Lobby and Michael's like mad!! I stay up on Sat. night until midnight on the computer just to check the sales for the next week. I have to get things on sale in order to resale so my "stuff" will be affordable. When I worked at the interior shop we got all of our garland at market, it's very hard to find nice thick garland at a reasonable price. I have done what you do and put 2 together. You have so many great ideas, love your blog!! Kristen
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I have it on my blogroll. I like Goodwill too!
ReplyDeleteMy two-year-old would knock you down for those Mickey Mouse stickers.....where, o where did you find them?
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog tonight...and I'm in love!
ReplyDeleteI can also totally relate...I feel so overwhelmed by the projects I have started and the ones in my mind that I have the stuff for! They need to get done...I just need someone to come and work, cook, clean and take care of my child!! Know anyone?
