Hello there! I hope you had a positively lovely weekend!
I’m doing a little something different this week – taking some time off to hang with my family for the Fourth of July holiday. I’ve only taken a few weeks “off” from blogging in four years – and I don’t mind that it’s been so little because blogging doesn’t feel like work to me. (Best. job. ever.)
But this week I know you’ll probably be spending time with your families and friends as well, so I figured instead of coming up with posts to schedule, I’m going to take a few days off – and not do anything blog related.
It’s exhilarating and frightening all at once! :)
Usually the July Before and After Party would go up this week, but I’ll push that back to next week. The next Show Us Your House party will be bathrooms, so get those ready for the week after (the week of the 16th).
I’ll be back later this week so until then, if you are new to TDC, check out my Our Home tab and my past DIY projects here to see what I’m usually up to.
I hope you have a WONDERFUL Fourth of July holiday with you and yours, and God Bless America!!
I remember you mentioning some time off while we were at Haven so I was totally braced for this *wink*. Have a great fourth and I'll be prepping my bathroom for a showoff/down.
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Rachel

ReplyDeleteHave a great vacation- you're long overdue! But don't forget to come back, ok? :)
ReplyDeleteHave a fab break!
ReplyDeleteI'm always SO glad to hear other bloggers are taking time off too! I'm taking the entire month of July off from blogging (writing or even reading them). However one day I wrote all my blogs and scheduled them to go out weekly for the month :-)
ReplyDeleteMy reason for the hiatus was because we're getting ready for our sons, their wives and our granddaughter to come visit!(They're all military and we don't get to see them too often.) This is so much more important than blogging in my book :-)
Enjoy your "Blog off" time! See you on the flip side :-)
I'd like to invite y'all to come visit me too at my blog.
Have a great week. Happy holiday!

ReplyDeleteI think that's a brilliant idea. :) Time with family is priceless. It may sound cliche but it's true; that never changes.
ReplyDeleteWill miss seeing ya and will mark my spot to peek again next blog!
Happy Fourth, dear!

Enjoy your time away - you deserve it! It was so great meeting you at Haven - so glad I went - I learned a ton!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great thought --- almost every cliche about the Fourth and family bonding is brought up to the table as every culture is replete with the traditional fireworks and noise-making habit.
ReplyDeleteGood luck, best regards!
nooo! i look forward to your posts sooo much. please don't go away for long!! i need my daily fix of TDC!!
