I have about 285 things on my list I’d like to get accomplished before Thanksgiving and instead the other day I spent hours cleaning up this mess out in the garage:

It needed to be done, obviously. But it is not on the list. ;) Food and cleaning this house are, however. But noooo…I focus on things like this. In my defense, it’s been driving me crazy for months. ALL of that wood is trim from the renovation. It was way bigger than this – we saved a ton of trim when we took down the wall so I used a lot to do the board and batten in the family room.
There’s still a good amount I’ll use in the kitchen – on the crown, base and board and batten. Some of the pieces I gave away and the rest I’m keeping for future projects. I hoard scrap wood – it’s my thing. ;)
Anyhoo, I finally got most of that area organized and then I kept going in the garage. Usually this time of year is when I organize our garage but usually this time of year isn’t 12 degrees with snow. So I’m doing bits and pieces and I’ll just have to wait till spring for the rest of it.
While I was organizing I realized the truly insane amount of painter’s tape I have. It’s from working with the lovely FrogTape folks – but there’s no way I can use all this tape myself. I LOVE this tape and have worked with them for years but a few months back I pulled out -- I couldn't think of worthwhile projects to do anymore. If I can’t make it worthwhile for you I don’t feel right doing it.
So I definitely don’t need all the tape I have and decided instead of dropping it at Goodwill, I’d pass it along to you guys!
I have nearly 20 rolls to give away. I have three rolls of the chevron shape tape:

I’m not a huge fan of chevron but I did use this in a different way to get a unique look:

So even if you’re not a big Chevron person, it still can be used to make different designs!
I have three wave tapes available as well:

I think this stuff is super cute, especially for a bathroom. :) I made this art for my son’s bathroom and still love it!:

I think the scallop tape is pretty too. I have four of these to give away:

I used this on my candy corn bunting last year:

So cute!!
I’m clearing out some of my regular tape as well – I have six of these available:

This is truly my favorite painter’s tape. The crisp lines can’t be beat. I used it to make this pretty ombre wall in our guest room:

I’ve mastered the art of cutting in so I just don’t use painter’s tape as much as I used to.
And this stuff I’m really excited about – it’s FrogTape for textured surfaces:

I’ve never used this so I can’t speak to how well it works, but it’s worth a try! I have three of these to give away.
This giveaway is now closed! :)

ReplyDeleteI would love the scallop tape. so cute! Thanks great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI would love just the regular stuff! It's my favorite :)
ReplyDeleteElizabeth.flamm@gmail.com
I would love the scallop tape regular as a back up. We moved on 10/17 and the family here was a fan of " poop colored walls" that is the only thing to describe the color. It is not a true brown and my 7 year old sort of thinks it is cool and said " we have poop colored walls". Uh.. So painting is in our future. I am going to do both of my girls rooms and the scalloped ones would be great in there. Not to mention my combo laundry/ mud room I need to paint and get rid of the 80s country stenciling oh and fix the big huge hole in the wall!! Our kitchen is amazing and master bathroom shower is spa like, just some quirks with the house.

Then I figured out the Frogtape existed but lost my mojo. This would be great to play around with during the Christmas break. andreaalternative@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThe scallop tape is super fun, but I would love to try the textured surface tape! Our entire house has plaster walls, most with a heavy texture. We always end up cutting in by hand :) Thanks so much for the chance to win! caila2788 (at) yahoo (dot) com

ReplyDeleteI would love the scallop tape. I can't find it anywhere where I live. But as I live in New Zealand I completely understand if you can't post out to be, sad as that would be. I think it would make my little girls playhouse look amazing with these scallop strips!

ReplyDeleteOoh! I can ALWAYS use tape. The regular green frog tape is excellent! I'm curious about the textured surface Frog Tape. We've recently started working on a seating area in our basement that has two walls of concrete walls that this 'tape' would be perfect for. So I could use the regular tape for sure, the textured tape and scallop or chevron for fun! email@bauerdesigns.com
ReplyDeleteLet's just say, I have not mastered the cut in technique, hahaha! ;)

ReplyDeleteKathy :)
I would love any of them! I have lots of painting projects ahead. jillyn2000@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteOoooh! You are the answer to my prayers! I found some beautiful painted pumpkins with chevrons on Pinterest quite a while back but had no idea how to replicate the perfect chevrons. Then I saw the chevron tape on your blog earlier this year and was so thrilled to finally figure out to execute one of the many DIYs sitting on my Pinterest boards. However, after I bought the plastic pumpkins earlier in the fall and painted the white base paint I realized that I can not find the chevron tape ANYWHERE in Canada. I bought some regular frog tape and attempted to make my own chevron tape but that quickly proved to be waaaaay more tedious than I could handle and it was impossible to make perfectly even chevrons. I almost threw out the half finished pumpkins last night when I was tidying up but I decided to hang onto them for now, hoping to find some chevron tape before next fall. In case it's not obvious I would LOVE to win the chevron tape ;) Thanks for doing this give away! -Nicole

ReplyDeleteAny of them would be great to decorate a painted cat food tray for my very sloppy kitty. But if I have to choose, then the scalloped because it looks like ocean waves, and I can add a cute little fish. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteI would love the one for textured walls! The walls are very heavily textured here in New Mexico, and they are the bane of my existence.
ReplyDeletei would LOVE the regular or the textured wall stuff!!

ReplyDeleteI would love the Frog Tape for textured walls. My daughters' room is next on our project list, and this would be perfect.seansam2003@cox.net
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I am painting my interior and recycling the blue tape up to four times trying to save money. Yes. My ladder and unpainted walls look like fly paper strips are hanging all over. Extra tape would be a big help. Many thanks. Smertl@me.com
ReplyDeleteYou are so awesome for giving all these away!! I've never tried the frog tape brand, but I'd like to since I keep hearing it's better than the blue painter's tape, and that's what I have had on hand when painting recently. I have this cabinet that I think I'm going to turn into a pantry for my kitchen since it's in desperate need of extra storage. Its wooden with raised panels on the doors and I've been wanting to do a chevron design on the panels. The chevron frog tape would be the answer to my prayers - I can't seem to get it to look right by hand or using pieces of tape to try to make the pattern. I'd be thrilled to try the frog tape out. Even if I don't win I think it's time to bite the bullet and just buy a roll! :)
ReplyDeleteI would like one of each tape! Then it will be time to experiment :)
ReplyDeleteI would definitely use the regular tape for several cabinets that I need to get painted. kmlupnorth@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your family this Thanksgiving!! And most of all, enjoy that new great room of yours -- it will certainly be fun to decorate ;)
We love Frog Tape! If I win, I'd love a roll of the regular. That textured stuff looks really awesome - our last house (1950s bungalow, previous rental, needed top to bottom reno) had texture on every. single. wall. I kinda wish we could go back there and try this stuff out - definitely wish they had it several years ago! camilla309 at yahoo dot com.

ReplyDeleteUsually when people are cleaning out I resist the urge, but seriously, giving away Frog Tape? I would love the regular tape -- we are re-doing our bedroom and I would LOVE an ombre wall! I would settle for excellent cutting in skills, but alas, I do not have your practice, nor does my husband anymore! Wonderful offer! Happy Thanksgiving and think of me -- it's my birthday! marydelrey56@msn.com
ReplyDeleteI would use the wavy tape or the regular painter's tape for projects. Thank you for this offer to win!

ReplyDeleteOh, no, I erased my comment. shorter version - yes, please send me the textured tape if I'm picked as a winner. I need to paint a chevron wall in my daughters room. Hi Sarah! I'd love to try the chevron tape out to add some pizzaz to my son' s closet so when the doors are open(never shuts them) it would be something fun to see. Also think the scallop would be fun to do something in my daughter's room. Her dresser is in need of a makeover so perhaps it would make a cute detail. Or of course the oldie but goodie, frog tape. Thanks for sharing !!

ReplyDeleteSarah,
ReplyDeleteIf you have a minute, could you tell me what the size of your wall that your fireplace is on? Also, is it ventless? I see it's in the back of your house, whereas ours would be in the front, so trying to figure out how it could maybe work.
Thanks!

ReplyDeleteOhhhh I LOVE that bedroom wall! Just today I bought a quilt and pillow shams for the guest bedroom my Hubs and I are creating. I'll be selecting paint colors for the walls that compliment the colors in the bedding, but I had not thought of giving the wall behind the bed an ombre treatment. Yours is just gorgeous -- and it has inspired me to follow suit! I'd be thrilled to be given any of the tapes but if the regular tape is what you used for the bedroom wall, that would be my choice.
