I love it! Just lovely. Go here to see more on the transformation and the landscaping!
These raised gardens with stone have softer, more organic lines.
If you're looking for big planters at a good price...well, good luck. Ha! This is a great idea using buckets to create outdoor planters:
Do you have a big empty wall on the outside of your home? This modern wood slat wall is super sharp:
Saying "sharp" makes me feel like my mother. 😂
This is another one I may try -- putting permanent poles in the ground for a hammock:
We have a metal stand that falls apart when we move it so this would work so much better!
I'm a hydrangea NUT (go here to see my tips on growing hydrangea plants) and last year I started growing them in our patio planters -- yes, you can do that!:
Keep in mind they need more water in planters than in the ground -- and I plant mine in the ground in the fall instead of bringing them in.
This is another project on my to do list! Because we don't have any mature trees around the patio, we'll have to make these cement filled planters to hold outdoor lights:
The bonus is, if you don't fill them completely, you can still use them as planters. (As Shannon did here.)
I love this little stair step flower planter idea that would be great for herbs as well:
What a great knock off outdoor side table -- for a TON less!:
If you have a brick house you're thinking of painting, this is a great tutorial:
There's something about a white porch with black accents...I love it!
I love a good upcycle! Can you tell what this plant stand was before?:
I really loved this idea too -- a wood bench for the front yard with house numbers:
It also serves as a planter! How cute!
If your outdoor space is limited, go up with your garden!
Fill them with wave petunias that will spill out with tons of color. This is another great way to grow herbs.
Samantha’s pretty porch had me swooning:
The brick, the columns, the red door! Perfection!
And last, but not least, this is a helpful tutorial for adding a DIY flagstone pathway:SO MANY great ideas! Every time I share a round up of my fellow blogger's projects I walk away with a longer to do list.
I adore the purple floral accents -- red and purple have always been a favorite combo of mine when it comes to plants.
Love the blue shutters, the pretty lights and all the plants in rustic containers. That door! Check out the rest of her pretty porch at the link.
And now I want a root cellar! This turned into such a lovely spot! (You have to see the before pics to see how far it's come.)
I mean, come ON! Check out her post for more photos and the materials they used.
Karah took advantage of a gorgeous view on their rooftop deck and created a comfy pallet bed:
Oh my goodness, can you imagine? How cool is that?
I LOVE Heather’s back porch reveal:
She had me at twinkling lights at dusk, for real.
I thought this outdoor idea was SO SMART – Marie used some old louvered doors to hide their trash cans:
Awesome, right? And I love her little added touch of the bird houses at the top of each post. :)
There were so many great furniture projects linked up it was hard for me to stop! Pam gives a great tutorial on this Pottery Barn-inspired table:
Someday I’m going to make something similar for our deck – the metal tables don’t hold up well for us.
I'm moving my garden and got started last weekend. I feel like I'm so late getting it planted this year! Since it's on my mind I loved Laura's raised garden bed:
We have lots of critters that grab my veggies -- I'll wait till a tomato is just about ready to pick and go out and it will be gone. :) I love this idea of the doors to keep them out!

My to-do list just got longer! Love those solar light hangers, and the bench... and I would love to have another paver path. Minus the install cost ;)
