Twilight and Facebook

First of all...to all my girlfriends who have been harassing encouraging me for months to create a Facebook account...

I seriously hate you.

I had two things I was waiting purposely till after the New Year to start -- Facebook and Twilight. I was going to wait till every trace of Christmas was gone from the house and I could take a breather and just relax. (Buuuwwaaahhhahahhhaaa!! Funny.)

You all might as well just give up on this blog. I am serious. I will not have time to do anything else, ever again, in my entire life, because of this stinkin' site:

Plan for last night:

Put the Bub to bed.
Check blog.
Fold some laundry.
Take tree down.
Pick up.
Take every last bit of Xmas to the basement.
Take a bath.

What that plan turned into:

Put the Bub to bed.
Check e-mail, get another request to "join."
Spend every waking minute till 12:30 a.m. on CRACKBOOK FACEBOOK.

I hate you. I do.

What I hate more is I LOVE THIS SITE.

Gah.

Next, I plan to read this book. Which in turn will make me want to read the next three, IMMEDIATELY, like go-to-Borders-at-10 p.m.-when-I-finish-each-one kind of immediately:
I have heard all about this series and then Sister bought them...and was obsessed. I don't want to get obsessed! I just want to read a good book!

Is there any hope for me? Is there any way that I will really still love my husband after I am done, and not want a vampire to come sweep me away? Really, I love my husband a lot and would like to keep it that way.

So do you Facebook?? Have you read Twilight?? I am making a promise that I will not abandon my home, my projects, and you...I will figure out to make time to do my fun stuff, even it it means I get two hours of sleep a night. It is my pledge to you.

Now, I must go see who has written on my wall. See ya.

  1. There is no hope for you not being obsessed with Twilight. GIVE IN!!! I read all 4 books in 10 days, and I have three kids. It took me a couple of weeks to get back to normal. It's well worth it though!

Just a little advice, buy all 4 books at the same time, it will save you gas. As soon as I was done with one book I was out buying the other.

  2. Haha...seriously....facebook and twilight are so so addicting. Twilight is a definite must read and so good. Facebook...is um...well maybe after a few months or weeks the hype will calm down...good luck!!!
    I love your blog!!!

  3. Its ok to be addicted to Twilight. I mean isnt it normal to buy you daughter a lifesize Edward and check Stephenie Meyer's website everyday to see if there is any Twilight news. Also at the last minute not go to see it for the fourth time becasue you might be intruding on your daughters date with her boyfriend, cause they were going to see it, and I am sure do not want the mother to be there sitting with them, and I couldn't go sit by myself, cause then I would be the pathetic woman addicted to Twilight watching it for the fourth time by herself. See its ok to be addicted, really it is.

And Crackbook, yeah I have it also, I mean try not to get sucked into the endles pillow fights and hatchlings and scavenger hunts ok. Hey you wanna be my friend???

  4. I had a serious lack of sleep while reading the Twilight series. It was always "just one more chapter then I'll go to sleep" which sometimes last til 1 in the morning.

I've been on Facebook since way back when it was only for college kids. The excitment really does die down, but it's still semi-addicting.

  5. Twilight is so lame. Which is why it's so bad that I couldn't put it down. The good news? You can read each book in like 5 -6 hours. But no laundry. No lunch. No dinner. Nothing else will get done. But we'll all totally understand (especially us Mormon girls, who, lets face it, are the biggest Twilight geeks-er-FANS). And for heaven's sake, don't even get me started on Facebook...

    ReplyDelete
  6. Yes, you will still love your husband but you'll secretly wish he was a vampire. And you'll find yourself gazing lovingly into his eyes hoping to see them change color...just a little bit.

As for facebook, whatever you do, DON'T start playing Pathwords or Challenge Sudoku. Seriously. For the love of your family. Consider yourself warned.

  7. oh, you poor, poor, thing!...you are a total gonner!

Facebook? It'll come in waves...I've got it, too, and at first it's extremely addictive, but I think it levels out after awhile...maybe. Or maybe I just don't have enough friends...

Twilight? Sorry, missy...you're sunk! I fought it for months, then gave in, then spent days not talking to ANYONE in my house while I loafed around on my sofa reading the books one.right.after.the.other.

    it was bliss!

  8. addicted to Facebook, especially playing Scrabble, have not read Twilight but my 21 year old daughter is obsessed, enjoy both!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Congratulations Jen and Traci!!! Those are super cute bottles!!

I've not read Twilight (but I want to), and I don't have a Facebook account (don't want one)! I can't hardly keep up with a blog, let alone something with the work "book" in it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Oh sister...there is NO hope for you at all. None. Zilch. Just keepin' it real for ya!

Twilight is awesome...I also read all 4 books in 10 days...and my kids were...well, I don't know because I was sucked into the story! My daughter was like, you're reading the apple book AGAIN! I'd tell her no...it's the next book...and it's longer...hahaha!

Facebook is fun, fun, fun! I've so enjoyed catching up with HS classmates and friends! It also sucks you right on in!

    Welcome to the club!

  11. Get all your current projects done before cracking open Twilight. You won't want to put it down until you have finished all 4 books and will love them! Warn your husband now because mine didn't see me for days while I finished all the books.

    ReplyDelete
  12. ok - i have been putting off getting into those books but from the sounds of your comments today, i don't think i have a choice. guess i'll be picking one up...

    ReplyDelete
  13. I am laughing out loud at your post. "Crackbook"...ha!

Anyway, I have a Facebook account, but I honestly don't really know how to use it to its fullest. I just communicate with old friends (and watch my son's communications).

As far as Twilight goes...you're in big trouble girl. I devoured the books (and I'm afraid to admit, I read a couple of them twice). Also, I did end up divorcing my husband by the third book, but (as you know) that was purely coincidence :). Enjoy!!

  14. We are getting bugged like crazy to join as well.

We had eleven invites in one day.

    We are NOT I repeat,
    NOT doing it..... :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. LOL...I am on facebook also...just joined it about a month ago...so you wanna look me up there also...
    Beth Lowman is the name....

    ReplyDelete
  16. Let's see, I'm not on that Twilight bandwagon.

I do have Facebook. I've had it for a few years, but I rarely check it. I get the email updates all the time that someone has written on my wall or thrown something at me, lol, but I check it once a month, if that. It's kind of hard to operate {coming from Myspace} and I don't like the fact that it updates everyone about every single thing you do on there. I like Myspace better.

    :)

  17. I have read the Twilight books three times and am almost through reading them all for the fourth. Am I obsessed??? I didn't think so, but after typing this -- it doesn't look so good...

You will like them. I have a facebook account but haven't really figured out what all of the fuss is yet.

    Love your blog!!!!

    Jen

  18. I haven't read Twilight, but I do love Facebook!

  19. I am completely addicted to facebook. It is the second site I check every time I open up my computer.

I haven't read Twilight yet and I'm not sure I'm going to. We'll see though.

    ReplyDelete
  20. stumbled upon your blog and still cannot stop laughing.
    I can't.
    honest.
When one's husband makes his first real effort to gift shop for his wife, and is quite pleased with his choices of Twilight perfume and an autographed hard cover copy of Twilight, well... you know that wife (me) has an unhealthy Cullen addiction.
And Crackbook is right... but i love it.

  21. I was on Facebook for one week... way too time consuming, and one of the downloads gave my computer a Trojan Horse Virus... I'll never use Facebook again. What's the point anyway when you can just e-mail someone.... weird.

  22. I just joined Facebook because of my aunt. How do we find you?

    ReplyDelete
  23. OH MY!!! When I started reading your blog I said, That's ME!! That's been my life lately. It consumes you. LOL!! I was just Facebooking (as I call it) before I checked out your new entry....I check FB many times a day...okay, a million times a day. HAH!
Then to top it off I was forced by my good friend and neighbor to read Twilight so I could go to the movies with her. Got obsessed with it and LOVED it. Now I'm on New Moon. Same...I have a feeling there are going to be Facebook Anonymous and I'm In Love With Vampires Anonymous popping up al over the country. :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yes you will still love your husband--but to make him even better just go buy him some of those plastic vampire teeth:)!!
The books are great--you will love them! And facebook rocks--what would we do without the internet?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I, too, loved my husband very much before Twilight. I read it in July, and it took me a couple of months to decide I could love him sooo much again and decide that the vampire thing probably was never going to happen. (although, I desparately want it to)!
Moral: you will love your husband after you read twiligh (eventually)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Twilight will make you want to jump your husband's bones immediately. Be warned!

Facebook was causing me social drama! Also be warned!

It came down to the blog or facebook. My family could not sacrafice me for both. But when I was reading all the Twilight books, it was after Hurricane Ike when we had no power for 2 weeks. Perfect timing to be obsessively reading.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I thought I was starting to get a reputation as a Facebook fanatic/stalker/junkie. Just when I think I've run out of people to look up, I find more. . . It's the perfect busy or lazy person's way to stay in touch with lots of people! Twilight books are on my list, but I appreciate the warnings!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Twilight. At first when it came out, I waited awhile and then decided that I needed a new book (Nicholas Sparks had been my favorite and he was in between books). I bought Twilight and soon became obsessed. Then hubby bought me the 2nd and 3rd for my birthday. Then the fourth came out. I was in HEAVEN! Then I saw the movie. And now I want more!

As for Facebook, yes, it's addicting. Especially when you get into the Apps and spend hours with each application. Good luck getting things done as you get yourself into two very addicting (but soooo good!) things. :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Sarah! You can't abandon your blog! I check in faithfully everyday to see what cool project you are working on next!

I haven't been to Facebook and I haven't read the Twilight series yet, either.

    ReplyDelete
  30. See ya in three months! Once you start Twilight it is all over girlfriend. You will be hooked.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oy I am addicted to both. Was just facebook until this Saturday when I was able to get the first book. Is there a way to go back ;)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh yeah. You're screwed. :-)

All I'm going to say is that you MUST resist playing pathwords on facebook. Crackwords, I tell you.

Oh...and this is the very reason that I WILL NOT read the Twilight books. I cannot handle another addiction.

    Kimba

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh! And what the ding-dong is your facebook name? We all want to be your friend?

Me? Kimba ASPTL. I'm a freak.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Welcome to the insanity!! It's nice here and LOTS and LOTS of company!! LOL

and like Kimba said.....what's your name on facebook so we can be friends? mine is Cheryl-Tidymom

I'm rereading the Twilight series right now - don't forget to read Midnight Sun - it's unfinished and only 12 chapters - but it's AWESOME! it's my favorite and I hope she finishes it some day and writes ALL of the books in Edwards words..

  35. Too funny, Read Twilight fantastic, reading the second one, not as fast cause I'm juggling getting organized. Facebook not been there and not in the future. too much just with home and passion for blogging.
    have fun,
    LuLu

  36. I facebook but have stayed away from Twilight. I think my family would kick me to the curb. Just wait until bad yearbook pictures start showing up on FB...that's the one thing wrong with FB - tagging!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hi Sarah :)

I haven't read Twilight or been a part of Facebook. I would be addicted immediately and I have way too much to do, so I'm staying far away from both of them LOL

    Congratulations on your 100th post!

  38. I have absolutely no interest in Twilight, but I did set up a FB account in the last month, after pressure from friends who only FB and don't blog. Unless I'm using it to connect w/ old friends, I don't see the purpose. I don't have any interest in the games, luckily, because that would definitely cause me to become addicted.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hi Sarah, yes, I am on facebook. I joined a few months ago, and have conected with friends from highschool I haven't seen in years. I don't do alot on it though. At first I was pretty hooked, I do get on every day to check on things and see what people are up to.

I saw Twilight on Sat.and it was great! My mom and aunts didn't like it that much. I told them it's only for teens and YOUNG adults. lol! My friend loaned me the books but I haven't had time to start them yet. I've had to stay away from the computer lately to be with the kentucky family and get my house back in order. Oh my gosh, it had been a total desaster for the past few days, but there is light at the end of the tunnel! Kristen

  40. Oh, and I agree with Lisa@littlesliceoflife. LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Good luck sista, facebook and twilight have ruined me! At least we can all laugh at our twilight/facebook obsessed selves. And, for the record, I do love my husband, but I love Edward Cullen too, I think there is room in my life for both ;)

    ReplyDelete
  42. The good news is that you will still love your husband after you read Twilight. The bad news is that you'll spend every waking minute on Facebook obsessing about Twilight after you read it.
Both are so addictive and I've recently succumbed to both!
    Good Luck!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I am so behind I have not read the books and don't even have a facebook account. Maybe I should get into it. I am so 2008.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yes to both! I don't have intense love for Facebook, But I love the whole Twilight series! I dream that my husband will suddenly turn into Edward!

    Hey, it could happen...

    ReplyDelete
  45. Please listen: I am a single mother. I almost called in sick. I stayed up hours past my bedtime on a work night. Take my advice: Before you start reading the Twilight series, have dinners planned for several days, make sure you have enough clean laundry, and BUY ALL THE BOOKS AT ONCE. You will save yourself a lot of grief and some late-night trips to the book store.

My friend and I, who met in college getting English degrees, admitted that this series is the guiltiest pleasure we've had in years.

    Enjoy!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Recording a little dvd for your hubby and son would be a nice gesture....facebook alone would be enough to make you "disapear," but Twilight...oh...you'll be in another world and basiclly non-existant in your family. When I read it I literally downloaded the audio books and had my iPod on ALL day long. I did totally ignore my children; I had only one earphone in. I would not recomend this however, my ear still hurts from time to time from having that earpeice in. :) GOOD LUCK!!! Let us know how you like the book!!

    BTW... POKE!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'm pretty sure I waste valuable hours of my life on facebook each day. And since our school district blocks those type of sites, I made sure my cell had a facebook app so I could check during my planning periods!

    ReplyDelete
  48. here's how it went down:
    me: laughing hysterically
hubby: "what are you laughing at?"
me: shoving the computer in his face, still laughing hysterically
    hubby: quietly reading...
hubby: "omg, i think you might be related to her!"

i too created a facebook account on new years - my attempt to be hip. I have to be reminded to breathe & eat! And you'll be happy to know, that although i have already read all 4 Twilight books, i still love my husband :) Although i do dream about how much more he could get done around the house if he didn't have to sleep! (you'll get that after you read the book!)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I am on facebook. I use it to talk to my sisters once in awhile. I haven't read twilight, yet!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. In the biz we call this early intervention. Just kidding, you're hopeless.
My facebook advice... Get a phone with a facebook application. It is easier to keep up with all the postings and status updates. And Kimba is right DO NOT GO NEAR PATHWORDS. I have no idea what it is only that it is a highly addictive substance. And people like me cannot be trusted with it.

I don't have any Twilight advice. I tried to savor the last two books because I raced through the first two in a weekend. The same way the rest of the chicks did. The last one I was hoping to read and enjoy over Christmas. I was literally hiding the book from myself. Guess what? That doesn't work.

    ReplyDelete
  51. ROFLOL! I totally understand. When I started Twilight --- I got totally sucked in. Same with Facebook.

    You have my sympathies!!!

    Happy New Year!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Fortunately for me, I started Facebook before I started blogging and so now I like blogging better than facebook. You can express yourself way better on a blog than on Facebook.......trust me......you'll see I'm right :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. lol! I actually have pretty much abadoned facebook because I am looking at blogs all night long...yes its 1:47 am...

I blame it on the internet...everything on there is addicting!

    ReplyDelete
  54. Facebook... I just don't get the addiction. I'm more of a myspace person myself.

Twilight on the other hand.. I LOVE Twilight!!! I read the first book shortly after it came out. I can say that's one craze I was in on before it became so popular. LOL

I have a 14 yr old son that read all the books. He and his friends are all jocks, so it was pretty funny to see all of them carrying around a "love story". LOL

    ReplyDelete
  55. You will still love your husband but by the time you finish the 4 books you will also be hot for a vampire and a werewolf. My hubby kind of liked it because I attacked him a bit more while reading those books! LOL

Facebook is addicting too. I'll have to try and find you on there if possible.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I so feel your pain! I just joined Facebook back in the fall to help find people for my 25th class reunion. Between that & blogging, it's consuming me. I still have ALL of my Christmas decor up (and bought more at the after C-mas sales!) Heaven help me. I'm doomed, I'm thinking. I'm passing an award over to you this week, so swoop by sometime (when you're not on FB & pick it up!)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Totally addicted to Facebook, only saw the Twilight movie...... but we must be friends! :) I am SO not good at finding people though.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Yeah right! You might as well clear the next few days for nothing but Twilight. I read all four books in about a week. So you might not want to wait until you're done with one to get the other. Get them all so that there's always one waiting. Trust me on this!
I too am addicted to FaceBook, but luckily that addiction tends to fade (not go away totally) after a couple of months.
Anyway, good luck on both fronts,... you're gonna need it! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  59. I do not facebaook. I'm not smart enough and I never know what to do when I go to facebook. I like blogger. As for twilight, I'm so happy you are joining the Twilight craze! I love all of the books, but New Dawn is my fave! And no, you will never love your husband again after reading this. Just kidding...Edward is just a little TOO perfect for me.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Seriously...the best advice no one gave me was make sure your house is spotless before you start reading TWILIGHT! :)

I seriously have never been a big reader and was shocked that I was so addicted reading all the book in 6 days! :) But like others have said I did hardly nothing but read, read, read. THEY ARE AWESOME! Seriously the best books I have ever read.

FOR THOSE THAT LOVED TWILIGHT...you should read Stephenie's other book-"Host". The first couple of chapters I couldn't get into it but, just keep reading and it gets GOOD. I was the same way with it. Such a different story-I really love it too.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'm not so much in to Facebook as I once was. I used to be all about Facebook and myspace. I think the novelty has worn off for me. Twilight, hmmm. I wish I could read it. I may try. My mother in law has the series and has offered it to me.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Welcome to the club... There is no way you won't be totally obsessed with Twilight. It is impossible. It took me less than a week to read the first three. Then I had to wait a loooooong time for the fourth one to be released. I read it TWICE in three days. Pathetic I know, but that is what this story does to you. As for Facebook... I have to say I spend way too much time on that site. Darn that site!!! There is something exciting about finding old friends online and finding out what they have been doing over the last 20 years. Makes me feel old when I see them with grown children, but hey I'm not a spring chicken anymore. Darn that site!!! Enjoy it. It is one of those guilty pleasures we have to indulge in.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Um, hate to tell ya this, but you are completely lost to the dark side now. Go ahead and buy all 4 books now, b/c once you finish one you will immediately want the next.

When I read the title of this post, I thought, "OMG!! She has the same two obsessions as me!!!"

    ReplyDelete
  64. I read all four books in about 3 weeks. My friends and I were joking that our kids, husbands and houses were neglected during that whole time. I'm also on facebook, which is such a time consumer. Try the mind jolt games and there will be no hope!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I read the first two twilights in a couple of days, then went to buy the 3rd and it was in a hard back and I wasn't going to spend $19.99 on a book LOL So I picked up two other books instead and am reading those.
I have something fantabulous to add to my kitchen and I'll be posting about it as soon as I can clean up this mess of a house and start on this project! I bought a vinyl saying to put up on the wall.! woot woot!
Sorry long comment but lastly I have a face book too!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Only halfway through Twilight - started on the plane on the way home from a business trip in November, and then the holidays showed up. But FACEBOOK is a different story..."Crackbook" is an EXCELLENT way to describe it! Maybe if I didn't spend so much time on "Crackbook" I'd be able to finish Twilight...

    ReplyDelete
  67. I had a friend talk me into facebook too, and for a week or so I was hooked, but the newness has worn off, and it isn't so bad anymore.

As far as Twilight goes...well, I read all four books in less than a week, and I have now read each one about 3 to 4 times. I know, sad, but they are sooooo good (and I still love my husband dearly!) I also went to the midnight showing of the movie the first night it came out (stood in line for 3 hours). This to shall pass and now my life is somewhat back to normal. Although I do still listen to the sound track every time I get into my car. Enjoy!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Facebook! Quite addicting and also weird to have all those groups of friends colliding in one place. I will say that the new wears off quickly or at least it did for me. Don't get me wrong, I still waste too much time out there - like last night - but just in random spurts instead of continuously. I still haven't given into the Twilight obsession...

    ReplyDelete
  69. I, too, was obsessed with Facebook when I first joined but trust me when I tell you, the addiction wears off on it's own. But not before friends and family begin to crack jokes at your expense! ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  70. Yes and YES! Love both. You have NO hope with Twilight...sorry but true. Just ask your husband to play along...like change his name to Edward for a few days, carry you to the car, etc. I'm not saying we did this. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  71. I actually closed my facebook site in August bc it was just too addicting. I was longing for closer connection with my friends - instead of just seeing what they were up to online. It was becoming a copout for me...and them. Instead of grabbing coffee, we'd just write on each others walls. Soooo addicting. But the past couple weeks have been making me watn to start again...and your post sure isn't helping! :)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Love your blog!!
I can't speak for Twilight although I've heard tons about it. I really don't get into vampire, teenage love stories. :) However, Facebook is another story. When I got on it, it took over my life...for about 2weeks. Then you're kind of over it (I was) and now I ignore when people ask me to confirm them as a friend and want to send me 80 million green plants to save the rain forests. lol :)

    ReplyDelete
  73. I think that I am the last person in the world who isn't on facebook. I'll have to check it out if I get the chance. As for Twilight. Good luck. That book hooked me faster than most books I have read. I seriously can't put it down when I read it. I was a little hesitant before I read it, now I am HOOKED! I have to say, I do have an enormous crush on Edward. lol Have fun reading!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Yes to both. The newness of Facebook will wear off in time and I'm on the third book in the Twilight series right now. It is really cutting into my blog time. :)

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'm on Facebook too, but don't like it. I love Myspace & Cafemom.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I commented earlier but I was going to tell you that I posted a bunch of cheap decorating ideas on my blog today. (I'm touring a different room of my house every tuesday until they are all done). Lot's of yard sale finds, auction finds, and of course I used the word spray paint a lot!

    ReplyDelete
  77. I was going to comment on this but I can't because I only have 1/2 hr left of my lunch and I have to try and finish Breaking Dawn (the 4th Twilight book)

    ReplyDelete
  78. I've had your blog bookmarked for a while & love it! Very entertaining! ;) My hubby is on facebook, as well as everyone I know it seems.....I want to do it...but when?!?! I feel ya'!!

    ReplyDelete
  79. I did the Twilight thing over the summer - it was engrossing - the good news is it is a youngh adult novel so it is a quick read and you can read and keep your eye or ear on something else if necessary. It gets kinda repetative in parts. I have intentionally put off the facebook invites too - do I really need another addiction? I barely have time for my blog!

    ReplyDelete
  80. Twilight was a good read. The first one is the best though...actually the first and third.

And as for Facebook. I have an account but have never gotten into it. I did spend a good three days looking at Flair and still lose an hour or two anytime one of my 'friends' beats my Tetris score..but that is about it for me.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Oh mine, oh mine!
I got in Facebook over a year ago and I'm so sorry to tell you that the "fever" went away just a couple of months ago. I still check my account every day, looking for photos or friends from the past. It's a blessing in a way...but Life needs a balance and with FB is hard to have it.

  83. Okay, so I know that I have an addictive/obsessive personality. For example, when I was REALLY into scrapbooking one summer, I would wake up with new page layouts in my head...scrapbooking consumed every bit of free time that I had and it was honestly all that I could think about all day long...not good!

So, I will not succumb to the numerous Facebook invites that I've received from family and friends over the last several months.

And, after reading all of the posts on your site, I also will not be reading the copy of Twilight that I borrowed from a friend and promised myself that I wouldn't begin reading until after the Holidays.

I know myself all too well...

    Good luck!

    ;) Kristi

  85. I admit it I am most definitely a Facebook-aholic! And Yes I am also a huge Twilight Fan! I started reading the series after my sister and friends raved about it. I bought the first book on Tuesday and completed the fourth on Sunday! I couldn't stop! I agree with a few other comments here...go ahead and buy all four. I went to the book store to get the second book in the middle of the night! Enjoy!! By the way...you have a great blog!

  86. Seriously, I have not jumped on the twilight bandwagon for that exact reason! I have too many addictions. Facebook was one. I feel your pain sister.

  87. Lemme tell ya a story... :)
So last fall, I was a senior in college. I had 7 classes (20 credits). The Friday before my finals week, I stopped at a bookstore to buy a Christmas present for my grandma, and was lured in by the display for Twilight, reminding me that my friend had been harassing me about it for months. So I bought Twilight, thinking I would need something to read after my finals were done and I finally had some time to myself. I accidentally started it that night. I finished it over the weekend. Monday I took 3 finals, then went back to the bookstore and bought books 2 and 3. By Thursday I had taken 7 finals and finished all 3 books. And I'm a 4.0 student, so I even got a (teensy) little bit of studying in! It was an absolutely crazy week.

  90. Hi there! I just found your site. You are my kind of lady. I have facebook and have read Twilight. I've lived to tell about it. There were some casualties along the way, most specifically laundry, but for the most part, it can all be balanced. :) Enjoy!

  91. Well, I have a Facebook page but haven't been on it in months..I'm not a fan at all! I have a Myspace page also, not been on there either. Just love the blogging. I can barely keep up with it! Oh, and Twilight! I'm almost finished with the 4th book and have seen the movie twice! Love it!

  92. Yes - I Facebook & YES I am totally addicted to Twilight. You will still love your husband, but you'll hate he doesnt have the qualities of Edward.. it'll make you mad... just wait & see!!!

  94. I'm adding your button to my sidebar near "those I stalk". Don't forget to pick up your award over at my place!

  95. Roz, you will LOVE Twilight. It won't make you want to be whisked away from your DH, but it is a great escape. My advice - if you get bored in the 2nd and 3rd book - hang in there. Everything you are waiting for (and then some) will happen in the 4th. It's worth the wait!

  96. I accidently got addicted to both Twilight and Facebook late last year. Many, many friends were suggesting for me to read Twilight. For giggles I decided to buy the book and try it out. 2 short months and 4 books later, I'm a Twilight fan! I joined Facebook just for fun and did not realize it was going to take up so much of my time. I do not regret it! I just can't imagine my life without Twilight, FB and blogging!

  97. I love my facebook!!! Why is that I am so interested in people, I might not even talk to in real life, like people from high school!!

I was not going to read Twilight, and then I saw the book on sale and bought it. I thought it was going to be scary, but I got the rest of the books for Christmas. I can't wait to finish them!

  98. ewe I can't stand facebook- though I have one- too much crap on there at once. Love Myspace and my blog- I can pin point what it is exactly that people love about FB- thats one of those "gotta know" oneday things- because for the life of me I can't figure it out!

  99. I love facebook but have never read Twilight. I have enough addictions with the computer I don't think I can add anymore right now.

  100. Yes, I love Facebook too. I started about a month or so ago and have fun checking it every day like I do with the blogs. I still like my decorating blogs better though! Haven't read the Twilight series yet, but am planning on it!

  101. I am right there with you on both! I NEVER read. I always buy books, get started, and never make it past the first chapter. I'm hooked! I felt all panicicy around the holidays when I finished the first book. Then my hubby gave me the 2nd book (while laughing at my addiction) for Christmas. Then last week, I finished New Moon and raced off to the bookstore across the street after work to get the 3rd book. Did I mention that I never read.

And Facebook - gosh - i waste too much time chatting up w/ old buddies, but what a great way to keep in touch.
