Because I’m nice

This giveaway is now closed.

I’m doing another giveaway this weekend for my final $50 HomeGoods gift card!!

Whoo to the hoo!!

I’ve had a blast judging entries for the HomeGoods Spring Challenge over the past few weeks! I’m always blown away by everyone’s creativity.

There is one week left of the challenge – for more info on how to win some great prizes and a ton o’ moola, go here.

For a chance to win a $50 HomeGoods gift card, just leave a comment here this weekend.

I’m trying to think of a way to make this one entertaining but I’m at a loss. It’s late. And I’ve been spray painting all day. Lost brain cells? Maybe.

**Disclaimer: I always spray paint in a well ventilated area and you should too.
This Chick is not liable for the loss of your brain cells.

Maybe tell me a joke.

Or tell everyone about a blog you love (no, I don’t mean me!) and spread some bloggy love.

Or just say “hi.”

Whateva. Leave a comment and I’ll pick a winner on Monday.

Have a great weekend!

  106. Ok, TDC...
I am finally doing it! I am leaving my first comment!I have been secretly "stalking" yes..."STALKING" your blog for a few months now. And I have to say, I TOO am in LURVE. It has become my little ritual to get up bright and early (before the kiddos get up) and with fingers crossed, check for a new post. And I have to admit my heart aches a little when there isn't a new one =(. I know you are a very busy momma, but that is just how hooked I am. I used several of your creative inventions and techniques in our last home, but recently moved. For the last 2 months we have been living in a hotel (WHICH SUCKS!!) and I am having decorating withdraws! My husband is in the USAF,so a change in station is the reason for all this chaos. We found out we are officially moving into our new home on monday (WHOOO FREAKIN HOOO!)... so a house warming gift card definately would make the experience all the more exciting ;). I have also been turned on to {Infarrantly Creative} since reading your blog. Lots of cutsies over there too! Well, I know this is a long shot, but here's hoping! Have a great weekend! I am ReAlLy excited to see the bub's bedroom reveal!

One of my all time favorite corny jokes:

Two muffins are in the oven.
One says to the other "God it's hot in here"
The other one replies "OH MY GOSH!!... It's a TALKING MUFFIN!!"

    ReplyDelete

  108. Here's a joke for your sleepy brain cells....
A man and his wife are awakened at 3o'clock in the morning by a loud pounding on the door. The man gets up and goes to the door where a drunken stranger, standing in the pouring rain, is asking for a push.

"Not a chance," says the husband, "it is 3 o'clock in the morning!"

He slams the door and returns to bed. "Who was that?" asked his wife.

"Just some drunk guy asking for a push," he answers.

"Did you help him?" she asks.

"No, I did not, it is 3 o'clock in the morning and it is pouring out there!"

"Well, you have a short memory," says his wife.
"Can't you remember about three months ago when we broke down and
    those two guys helped us?

I think you should help him, and you should be ashamed of yourself!"

The man does as he is told, gets dressed, and goes out into the pounding rain.

He calls out into the dark, "Hello, are you still there?"

    "Yes" comes back the answer.

"Do you still need a push?" calls out the husband.

"Yes, please!" comes the reply from the dark.

"Where are you?" asks the husband.

"Over here on the swing!" replies the drunk.

It's one of my favorites, but I've never had a chance to share it!

    ReplyDelete
  109. What's Beethoven's favorite fruit? A ba-na-na-naaaaa (sung) haha
It's a lot funnier in person but since it's my favorite joke, I had to share. Thanks for the giveaway!

  110. Hi! Love reading your blog! Not so sure my husband fully appreciates it, though, what with my ever-growing pile of to-do projects in the garage. That and the ever-growing stash of spray paint cans. He's just got to deal--no way am I going to pass up the $6 end tables when I can fix them with a little sanding and paint! :) And the cool $25 cedar chest. And $5 padded wooden chairs that need a tiny bit of new fabric. And the free old sewing machine cabinet. Nuh uh, honey, sorry, they're staying!

  144. Oh man that would come in handy for putting the finishing touches on our nursery!

My favorite non-design blog right now is "Enjoying The Small Things". Kelle's stories and photography are lovely and poignant, and she constantly reminds me that as much as I love working on my home or the million "projects" on my to-do list, nothing is more important than taking time to soak in the simple perfect imperfections of life. Also, you HAVE to read her birth story for her new baby. Keep tissues handy!

    Check it out here: http://www.kellehampton.com/

She went along because he had some free day. Well, that Iceland Volcano erupted and made havoc in the skies and she was stuck another week. Which you would say Yeay, stuck in paris, but she was missing her little boy so badly it wasn't that much fun!!
    Thanks, I hope I win!!
