Bringing the Outdoors in

May 19, 2015

Last year I shared some of the awesome outdoor finds that work indoors and there are some fabulous finds right now as well. Lowe’s has some awesome stuff again too – really cute candleholders and other decor that would easily work inside.

Even though it’s not even officially summer yet, be on the lookout for sales on the outdoor stuff soon – it’s CRAZY how fast the sales and clearances start anymore. Gotta make room for Christmas stuff you know. (Kinda not kidding.)

This time I’m focusing on Target (sorry for those of you out of the country!) because they knocked it out of the park with their outdoor decor this year. It’s all pretty, affordable and I would use every single thing inside too! Some of these items wouldn’t last two minutes outside at our house, but they may at yours. If not, bring them in like I did. :)

Their outdoor pillows don’t really feel like outdoor fabric at all – pretty soft actually:

And you don’t have to worry about spills if you use them inside! :)

They have a ton of pieces that look like they come from Pottery Barn:

Those candles smelled really good too. :)

They had some great poufs – this one is a more natural design that would work in most rooms:

This fabric is softer than it looks too.

There are a TON of candleholders that I loved for inside too. This one is just cute – it’s a mason jar with an LED candle that lights up when you turn it on:

Those I actually would use outside, but they’d be cute in a kid space too.

I wouldn’t be able to keep all this breakable stuff on our deck or patio cause I’m not good at taking things in and out during bad weather, but I SO wanted those wood and glass holders for inside!:

I’ve always loved these hanging planters, and they’d be cute with little faux candles inside too:

I actually got a couple of these just because I’ve always wanted them -- I haven’t decided where they’re going just yet.

I thought this clock would easily work inside:

Right? Just gotta think outside the outside box, you know what I mean? :)

They’ve had this stuff out since early this year, so I’ve brought a few things home over the past few months – including these large baskets:

large rattan baskets natural I searched for the right size for a good year at least – and these were a great price for less than $30 each. (They’re really large!)

This little milky glass cutie is supposed to be a candleholder but I’ve used it as a vase and now a planter:

Love the rope detail!

I grabbed one of the faux coral pieces for the bookcases:

I don’t think this one would hold up well outside really – it needs to be oiled or sealed at least if you plan to keep it outdoors. I still plan to do that so I can use it for other things in the future. But the price was crazy good, especially considering what actual bread bowls this size cost!

Have you ever shopped the outdoor section for indoor decor? Stores are really upping their game over the past few years – and watch for those sales!

  1. What a great idea! I never considered shopping the outdoor section for decorations! I haven't even walked through Target's outdoor section this year...looks like I need to make a trip over there! Darn it. I will probably need to get some Starbucks too. Hehe
