Would you BELIEVE this is made out of these?:

OH, I am ROLLING!!! Not because it's made of Mountain Dew cans, but because I actually think it's kind of pretty!! My favorite part is the "star" on top. Have I lost my mind? Just another testimonial to the magic of Christmas lights -- they can make anything pretty!
Anyone up for a soda can tree? And talk about thrifty -- just save up your pop cans and wire hangers for a year and a FREE TREE!
P.S. Click on the tree cookie and watch my pet reindeer. Ca-uuute!
That is so silly! Christmas lights make everything magical.
ReplyDeleteI think it's wonderful! Now I have a use for all those empty mt dew cans!
ReplyDeleteWonder what a beer can tree would look like. lol.
Oh my goodness!! It is beautiful... I am a big Mountain Dewer, (word ??) so saving cans would be easy for me. That is toooo funny.

ReplyDeleteAs I was looking at it I was saying is that a 5 liter bottle on the top of that tree. I didn't even realize it was made of cans.
Yes lights make anything look pretty. LOL
Oh my gosh, that is so funny! I was looking at the first photo and thinking wow, so pretty but what is it? Stuffed wtih ortaments? Then I scrolled down. I hadn't even noticed the "topper". You're right, Christmas tree lights really do make a difference!
ReplyDeleteI have got to show by BIL - he is a Mtn. Dew addict. That is fun. Not the kind of fun I would have in my house but fun and inventive all the same. hehe.
ReplyDeleteI never would have thought that tree was made out of soda cans...it really is beautiful!

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comments.
Have a great weekend!
I'm looking at a post title on the right that says Holy Canoly and that seems to fit what I thought when I saw this tree!
ReplyDeleteYour post is sooo funny ~ we were at my mom's for Thanksgiving and I complimented her on her tree with lights in their sunroom. She laughed, went out to the sun room and turned on the overhead light. I then saw she had her "tree lamp" with three bulbs wrapped in Christmas lights and it was so pretty at night. . . who would have ever known. We laughed and laughed, and then tonight I read your blog.
ReplyDeleteSo, yeah, everything looks better with lights!! I'm going out now to wrap myself in them :)
Blessings,
Sher
I was shocked as my mouth dropped open...I have never in all my (young) days seen anything like this! It is amazing....and with the lights absolutely magical!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Debbie
Did you make that???? I have to admit it's pretty when it's all lit up.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the little reindeer!
I have seen that and every time I look at it my kidneys hurt! I can't believe someone drank all that Mt. Dew!
ReplyDeleteDang that is a quick little reindeer! I could hardly catch him to read all his cute little sayings!
ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome tree!
My kids would so be for that tree, especially the emptying of the cans. Way cool!
ReplyDeleteAww, this makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I don't drink pop often enough but heck's ya- this is SO getting made for the deck next X-mas! ^^ Thanks for posting the great idea!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH!! Stinking cute!! Now that is nothing but clever..
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
That may be the greatest Christmas tree of all time!
ReplyDeleteLOL! This is unbelievable.
ReplyDeleteI kinda did the same thing many years ago. We had a party at our house and somehow the idea popped in my head to stick my empty can on the end of the tree branch, through the mouth of the can. so the rest of the partiers started doing it to, filling up every branch on the tree!
ReplyDeleteIt really IS beautiful, but leave the lights on please. I can't believe all the work into this thing, plus all the Dew you had ato go through. Hope you get some sleep before Christmas. Carol
ReplyDeleteWell...going green is quite "in" these days...I think you are on to something! lol
ReplyDeleteLOL! LOVE it!
