OK, if there’s a go-to place that always makes me happy, it’s Target. (Or Tarjay, as we’ve always called it. That started cause sometime back in high school someone told us Target was a French company. It’s not. But we still say it.)
Fun little fact: Target was my very first job. Even at 15 I had good taste. Either that or I REALLY loved the red shirt and khakis combo. (Not.)
Anyhoo, my love of the Jay has been deep and it’s been long. This Pinterest find from the other day made me giggle:
(source)
We did it high school when we had $2 to spend and we do it now when we have $2 to spend. (Dang you, dollar spot!! Curses!)
Anyway, my little man and I were there today for some, errrrr…uh. I don’t remember. Steak knives I think? No – it was socks. Both? I walked away with neither.
I was too distracted with all of the pretties they have out right now. I gotta say, Target has some design-forward peeps working there. I love their clothes and I love their home goodies. I snapped a few pics of some of my favorites from today.
This $70 table could be a gorgeous little accent:
It reminded me of my World Market table:
But the Target version is $70 and it would look fabulous spray painted in a metallic color. Satin nickel, gold – even a bright color would look fantastic!
Everything equine is hip right now – this guy would be a great accent to a dresser or bookcases (with the backs painted out so it pops!):
It’s big too – worth the $25 price tag!
I loved this graphic lampshade:
I’m just nuts over that aqua color right now – I’m working on some changes in our living room and I’m trying to bring in more of that color.
It goes perfectly with the glass beauty on the left, and I love the shape and color of the one on the right too:
(I think those were both $40?)
Many of you missed out on the glass aqua lamps I found for the office at Target last year:
And the color of that one on the left above is identical to these. So there you go!
They had a few of these little throw rugs with different designs:
I loved this one, but this material never works well for me as a rug. It’s not sturdy enough and gets messed up too easy. I wonder if these could be made into floor pillows or something? Or maybe cover an ottoman with one?
Speaking of ottomans, I thought this little gold round one was totally hip:
And the blue benches would be lovely at the end of a bed, or even a couple lined up in front of a sofa.
They had some fun vintagey kitchen pieces too –- I loved these bright breadboxes:
I was thisclose to picking this one up – I even had it in my cart. My plan was to break out the Silhouette and put “Bread” across the front. ;) But I was trying to be good, so I put it back. Boooo.
They had some fun storage options too – I LOVED these wood milk crates and wire baskets:
Don’t they look like something you’d find at the antique store?
And I loved this beauty as well:
It was lined with a beautiful gold fabric, and I had visions of filling it with throws or magazines. I didn’t walk away with it just because I was afraid it was a little too fancy for our house. I kind of can’t stop thinking about it though…so if you live near me, stay AWAY till I decide if I’m going back, umkay??
I’ll let you know when it’s safe to go pick one up. ;)
Do you love Target as much as I do? Can you spend hours in there with your girlfriends like me? I miss their World Market line (or whatever it was called) they used to carry every year around now. It was SUPER fun and unique. Ah well…they still have me coming back, I think they’re doing OK. :)
P.S. I was not compensated to drool over all this stuff. Target has no clue who I am. But they should, since I’m there so dang much.
P.P.S. My friend Melissa posted about some great deals at Target today – I didn’t even make it over to the clearance stuff though. I was there for socks, remember?
Now I may have to go back. Drats.
Yes I share your love of Tarjay!! I need to get in there...all these new pretties!
ReplyDeleteA horse of course!
ReplyDeleteI love that rug - for my office area it would be Divinely wonderful :)
OMG! I was just there and they had none of that stuff! New season must have just arrived. I am dying! I have to stay out of that store for love of my bank account. But the horse and crates and lamps and OH MY! Shut the front door (sidenote: http://www.etsy.com/listing/89726246/shut-the-front-door-85x11-fits-in-8x10)
ReplyDeleteI heart Target so very much! After all of the holiday shopping madness, I needed a break. Ok, break is over!
ReplyDeletefunny- I just walked in the door from none other than my fav- TARGET! Found the cutest Valentine goodies for the kiddos in the $ section and had fun browsing. Some fun finds in your photos.
ReplyDeleteJen
I was there yesterday with my daughter and it looks like you and I were looking down the same aisle. Oue shelves were sold out so it must be well liked by several. I go nuts in there and have to contain myself for sure.
ReplyDeleteTarget is field trips for mom and I only go to the Targets with Starbucks! I picked up some Christmas stuff for 70% off! I love Target!
ReplyDeletelaura
ps I think this is the first time I have commented that I haven't been the 786th comment! Thanks for the blog suggestions on making money! I read every line! Happy New Year!
You are killing me! I drooled over the same exact items yesterday! The rug was darling but I cannot stop thinking of the table. Too funny!
ReplyDeleteYes, I love Target so much, that I was absolutely THRILLED when my college graduate daughter got a job there, after failing to find one in her field in this job market.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, you'd have thought she called and told me she'd been hired by the best PR firm in NYC!!...Sad huh??!! :)
Oh no, your post is so painful. I am on a no spend month and have a serious addiction to Target (3-4 trips a week) so I am trying to stay away this month. It is only the 5th and I have so many more days to go. This is torture. We LOVE blue and everything is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHey Sarah, I'm with you on your love of Tar-Jay!! I've lived in Canada for nearly 12 years and MISS it, big time! Lucky for me, they bought out a Canadian chain and will be opening stores here in 2013. They can't open soon enough. And I'm really hoping they'll be just as good here!! Thanks for a little peek. =)
ReplyDelete~ Catie
TARGET!! TARGET!! TARGET!! Oh I luuuvvvvv me some Target!!! I'm really not sure if there is anything I don't like about the store! I will say the 'Target Lady' during Christmas time is oh so funny!! Just love her!
ReplyDeleteTarget ROCKS! Plus, since there is a Starbucks there I can grab a SALTED CARMEL HOT CHOCOLATE while I shop - which makes it all around a good time!
ReplyDeleteI went there 3 days ago and drooled at some of the very same things as you did, but if I had seen that table that kinda looks like your WM table I would have grabbed it, someone must have gotten to mine! I have been going to Target since I was 9. When I was a kid I would hold garage sales (my junk on a table in the front yard) or lemonade sales and go to Target on my bike and buy yarn, no I didn't crochet or knit, I would roll it into balls and put them in my room because I loved looking at it and then stop by the bakery for a cookie! Those were the days my friend. One time I bought a notepad because I loved the cover of the pad and I came home and got a quote book and wrote all my favorite quotes on the paper and hung them one after the other on my bedroom wall! I was an early decorater! ;) Crazy kid!
ReplyDeleteLove me some Target - they are getting in some really great vintage inspired stuff lately!
ReplyDeleteKelly
I love Target! I'm going to have to check out mine for those milk crates. I'm not leaving my name, but one time, several years ago, I spent 100 dollars just in the dollar bins. OH YES! It was fall, and they had all kind of cool stuff for parties.
ReplyDeleteI Love the dollar section too! I get stuck there everytime! And you had me on the first picture of the side table, you can see a price tag there that says $4.99 and I was astonished until I read it was $70 ha ha ha wow tricky! GOTTA LOVE TARGET!
ReplyDeleteI was just at Target two nights ago and saw a lot of these items! I went crazy, especially over the yellow graphic lamp shades (not sure your Target had them).
ReplyDeleteI might have to get those blue ottomans. I'm not crazy about the silver legs, but I can spray paint them, right?!
PS - I love your blog. You are so inspiring!
This stuff was not at my Target today. WOW! Too cute. I also just wrote about Target today as well. Too funny. However, I broke up with it. Too addicted right now. Must get will-power back! Great post.
ReplyDeleteHmmm....I think I'm going to have to go to Target tomorrow!!! hehe
ReplyDeleteLove the wood mili crates!!!!!!
I looove Target too! I always come out spending at least $100 every time I go! It's so bad, but so good :)
ReplyDeleteI love me some Target! My girlfriend and I go there often during our lunch hour. I love that we can go in intending to get shampoo and leave $100 later-- with no shampoo!
ReplyDeleteOh My Lands!! I went to Target today too and drooled over just about everything you just shared! It's all so yummy! I just couldn't pass up that rug so I bought it! $15 can't be beat! I have it in my laundry room right now where there isn't much traffic (because I agree....that material isn't the best). xoxo
ReplyDeleteYes I'm Target-obsessed too. So many good bargains!! Today I got Burts Bees lip balm for .89 each, down from $2.89. Look for the ones in the snowflake shape box.
ReplyDeleteGah! I love Target! I've spent three shameless afternoons perusing the aisles in the last week alone...always drooling, never buying! :)
ReplyDeleteBeen trying to stay away from any store but the grocery store. I'd walk away with a horse head for sure! Come to think about it....I have about $50 of Target merchandise to return...or should I say exchange! Oh so tempting!
ReplyDeleteCANNOT go into Target and come away with less than $100 spent!! It's crazy...but is retail therapy...go figure. love all of the pics
ReplyDeleteI wanted those office lamps for my daughter's room, but they didn't keep more than a month or two and when I returned, they were gone. I miss that 'Z Gallerie' home decor they had about now, too. I haven't been in there since they re-set from Christmas, but it looks like I need to go! Congrats for using restraint! (for now! ;o)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the vintage bread box! Did they have it in red? The vintage stuff is my fave right now...makes me feel all sentimental! Now...where did I pack Grandma's cake carrier when we moved? Hmmmm...gotta dig that out. :) Happy Friday girls!
ReplyDeleteOh boy, I was in Target today as well. I went looking for a shopping cart to lug my wares from an over-zealous Bjays excursion;nevertheless, $148.00 later, I left with no cart!
ReplyDeleteI totally miss the Global Bazaar at Target! I used to make a wish list and get most of it at 90% off when it went on clearance! Great picks, btw! :)
ReplyDeleteI love Tar-jay! Such a fun store with so much stuff for the home and for me and the family. I'm loving the gold ottoman! I think I got to get that one! :)
ReplyDeleteHa ha, I was at Target today and drooling over the exact same items. Literally.
ReplyDeleteI love target. I have been labeled a Target addict. I will actually run into Target on the way to work and usually spend too much money in the process.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Target is the best. Those crates are calling me for sure. I, too, miss the world decor thing they had after Christmas for awhile. Now it's just big rolls of tp or clothes...sigh.
ReplyDeleteI wish we had Target here. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteGreat finds, love those lamps especially!
Wowza. I love all of this stuff! I am thinking I may have to pop over there this weekend to pick up one of those wood crates and that little pretty for holding blankets and such. LOVE. Thanks so much! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love love love Target, too.
ReplyDeleteI Heart Target! They have so many great items for your home.
ReplyDelete~Mrs. Delightful
ourdelightfulhome.blogspot.com
I DO love Target as much as you do! So funny, b/c I saw so many of the same pieces you did the other day and had the same thoughts. Loved those cool rugs, but those are the kind that always curl up and you can't really wash 'em.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't even get me started on that amazing Dollar Spot!! ;)
LOVE those milk crates! Almost bought the first side table you mention last weekend, but thought I could find it for a better price at HomeGoods...turns out I was wrong! Still $70 at HomeGoods and I preferred the one in Target!
ReplyDeleteOMG I was there yesterday and called my mom the second I got home to tell her all about the lovely things they have out now!! And I kid you not - the first thing I thought of when I saw that table in the store was your table!!! how funny!! They had a yellow lamp that I fell in love with, and a pink and white chevron pillow that I can't use in any room of my house, but I was obsessed with it! LOL! LOVE me some Target!
ReplyDeleteTarjay is my favorite place too! I saw Melissa's post yesterday and now yours....I'm heading there once I'm dressed!! I've been holding off going since I always buy stuff I don't need and I'm really trying to clear out before bringing more in. Do love that the Target card automatically takes 5% off every time! Love that cartoon!
ReplyDeleteI've always called it "Tarjay" too. It's French just like my dad always said "Jacque Ce Penet" (JCPenney) was!
Hi. Thanks for sharing this eye candy! Would you believe my state (Vermont) is just about the ONLY state in the US without a Target!? Boohoo...So for now I will live through you! Lisa
ReplyDeleteLOVE me some Target!!! The best thing is their clearance! I find so many oddball steals in their clearance section =)
ReplyDeleteOkay, I was galavanting around scanning tape and napkins when those wooden milk crates were in the same store as me?? They *neeed* to go in my boys' room somehow. Were they back by the garbage cans, bins, storage stuff? LOVE, love, love them.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I saw that metal accent table too and then I thought how great it would look between 2 chairs in my family room, and then I thought I better get out of there before I did any more damage. Thanks for the link~love all these finds! xo
I LOVE Target too...Now I have to buy some of those crates. I too used to work for Target and absolutely love the company, unfortunately they ended up getting back most of what they paid me...I think I have a shopping addiction :)
ReplyDeleteI adore Target. I like to spend time browsing around. I don't think I've ever come out empty handed though.
ReplyDeleteTarget is like a drug - you just have to keep going back!! I always just get a basket and then I end up going back and getting a cart because I end up buying WAY more stuff than was on my list!! :-) I LOVE those blue ottomans...and your idea to put them in front of a couch is brilliant!
ReplyDelete-Katie
Good to know I'm not the only one who does that at Target! I consistently walk out of there for no less than $100...when in fact I've gone in to buy laundry soap! I agree, they have great home goods and ideas. I certainly infuse target finds with other flea market items. Thanks for the fun post.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Target, too, but have to drive quite a long way to get to the nearest one. I've been thinking about a Target road-trip for several days .... now I HAVE to go! Definitely a visit this weekend!! Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeletei never even thought to use those cheapy thin rugs as pillows!!! wow. you're a genius...although i am sure you've been called that before...but maybe not today..so there your quota has been filled
ReplyDeleteI literally just looked at both those lamps! The clear teal would be to die for in my living room. **Sigh**. I did find some like the opaque blue at goodwill...in pink. Still mulling them over. I think They would look awesome in a pale green..
ReplyDeleteI have a Target addiction myself. Heading over there today, going through withdrawal:). I just hope there is still some of that goodness left on the shelves!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I was so mad the first year I discovered they weren't doing the Global Bazaar thing. I kept looking for and it never came.
ok - gotta go do my Target run!
Happy Friday! Kim www.plumberrypie.blogspot.com
Love those lamps! Our Target is entirely too close, so I'm there a couple [several] times a week. Actually, now that I think about it, there are 4 within 30 mins of my house- it's a conspiracy!
ReplyDeleteYou should be compensated. I just told my daughter to get her shoes and coat..."We're going to Target."
ReplyDeletemaxwellhouseinteriors.blogspot.com
I just bought one of the wood milk crates to store our 3.5 year old's books in our great room. The day I was there with my hubby, there was one left so I convinced him to let me snag it. So he can't see this picture. The Castleton Target had some great Clearance deals in toys. I picked up a couple of things for the 4th birthday and plan to hit up Super Target again this weekend to make sure I didn't miss anything. I heard Xmas stuff was going to be 90% off today!
ReplyDeleteI love Target. They have awesome deals and have trendy design elements.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw that wire table last week I thought instantly of your copper one! How funny. I didn't call since we don't really know each other and all, so I kept the girlfriend moment to myself. But since you've now shared it would have been like this: "Hey Sarah. I'm at Target and they have an awesome wire side table that is totally like your copper one that you posted about a couple weeks ago. It would look gorgeous spray painted a fun color. It's $70 bucks which is still kinda high, but you know if you wait for it to go on clearance it will either be gone or get all banged up. I'm sure everyone thought of you when they saw it. Call me!"
ReplyDelete:)
Oh it's so true! I love Target too and it's dangerous for me because there's one only 5 minutes away. My best friend flew in from California to Ohio to visit me and where did we end up...Target! It's just a great place to browse and unfortunately buy things you don't necessarily need!
ReplyDeleteOh Target! How I love you. I was just there last night drooling over some of the exact same things you just showed ;)
ReplyDeleteYeees, I love Target as much as you do. I am going today, actually. I go about once a week, & I'm usually pretty well behaved. (imo)
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE LOVE LOVE Target!!! I still call it Tarjay as well. hahaha. My husband is building me a bench in my entry way for shoes and coats and those milk crates are PERFECT for storage under the bench!!! Thank you for sharing and now I am going to spend more money and Tarjay - I have already spent about $650 in the past month (I bought 10 barstools - so it isn't THAT bad right) :)
ReplyDeletelets just say that working in the target pharmacy for the past 4 years has been hard on my checkbook, to say the least. food, clothes, home goods, CLEARANCE like there's no tomorrow... well, i guess it's a good thing i'm working to make up for it. and my mom calls it tarjay, too. small world.
ReplyDeleteand. i. hate. red and khaki. i've been working on my boss trying to let me wear jeans for the past, oh, 3 years. no such luck yet. someday....
laura
I love love LOVE Target! When I first moved into my new house, the first things I had to find were a grocery store, gas station, and a Target (not exactly in that order either). I could spend foreeeeever in that darn store. But why do I feel like you found better finds at yours? I swear I've never seen that table at my store? :( I would totally love to pair that with one of the wire frame tables I got at Ikea.
ReplyDeleteWe have also always called it Tarjay or sometimes Tarjay Boutique, but they did announce last year that they are expanding into Canada, so we can use that as our new excuse for the fake French accent ;) I sooooo feel you on the bringing back the World Market, Pier 1 style, with Target pricing? Booyah Baby, maybe we need to start a campaign?
ReplyDeleteTarget is totally my guilty pleasure...I can ALWAYS find something I want there! I actually have a $10 gift card to use...gah so tempted!
ReplyDelete~Stop Me if You've Heard This One
OMG, I LOVE Target sooo much. I have to stop there for something pretty much on a weekly basis. By the way...that rug...grab a cheapie canvas and cover it! I did it with an Urban Outfitters rug and it turned out great! See the link below:
ReplyDeletehttp://beautifullycontained.blogspot.com/2011/10/super-easy-wall-canvas.html
Ok, I just have to say THANK YOU! I've been s-l-o-w-l-y working on my master bedroom and I've been looking for new bedside lamps that would look good on my silver nightstands and I absolutely LOVE the lamp you showed on the left! I hope my local store carries it because 2 of them will be MINE! Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteI LITERALLY almost did this same thing the other day. I was drooling over the Dwell Studio kitchen stuff and pillows I didn't have the money for.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Tarjay to come to Canada! You girls are soooo lucky! I hope they come to our town soon!Envious!
ReplyDeleteUmmmmm, I think we're separated at birth or actually living parallel lives in different locations. Target is my happy place. The idea of getting a Starbucks and having an endless amount of time to wander is truly way more fun than it should be (I feel sad when I think about how happy it makes me). Target has ruined me, and I can't handle paying higher prices at other places. If every store in the world closed I could live on Target alone. I have a problem, but there ain't no cure!
ReplyDeleteTrish
www.mash-upchic.blogspot.com
oh no! It's been probably 2 days since I went to Target and now I feel compelled again. But I guess I don't really have a problem with that because going to target has always been very therapeutic for me. No stress, just wandering around, looking at cute stuff, buying some of it, and imagining my life if I owned the rest of it. Is that a bit materialistic? maybe, but I don't care :)
ReplyDeletetarget is one of MY favorite places! i was trying to explain my love to my husband and he just didnt get it! men.
ReplyDeleteBeen trying my best to stay out of Target as not to spend anymore money but read your post jumped in car and ran to target and soooooo glad i did 90 percent off!!!!!! oh happy day! gift wrap felt ornaments i can use for next year and for val day this year .... even stuff to help decorate for my daughters upcoming sweet sixteen!!! thanks for the tips keep em comimg
ReplyDeleteI must find time this weekend to go and stroll...Target is my Home Away From Home!!!
ReplyDeleteTarget-lover here too:) I'm wanting that bread box! I didn't see it at mine yesterday:( I'm gonna go look again though!
ReplyDeleteI almost like all of your stuff better than theirs though. Especially your little side table!
I was at the Carmel Target today and saw all the things you wrote about! I fell in love with the side table. Funny if this was at a higher end store I'd swoop it up but I'm hoping it will go on clearance because its at Target! (Am I the only one whose brain thinks this way?) I too miss the after Christmas line they used to carry and even thought about that too, especially since they replaced that area with paper towels, garbage bags and other boring things! :P
ReplyDeleteThanks to your post I found the cutest picture frame for 99 cents! Love the Christmas stuff that can be used in winter. Also got red and white heart ornaments to hang in my dining room next month!
ReplyDeleteI am at Target at least once a week for something. My favorite is end caps in the linen department. I find a really good deal from time to time.
ReplyDeleteI am at Target at least once a week for something. My favorite is end caps in the linen department. I find a really good deal from time to time.
ReplyDeleteI have a love/hate relationship happening with the Target. I love most of what they have and I hate to leave without it! Can I get an amen? I avoid the TarJay because I always spend too much money there. Thanks for the post...but now I have to go there tomorrow and shop. WHYYYY? The vicious circle continues. LOL!
ReplyDeleteYou're making it hard for me to wait until Target opens here in Canada. So far I've experienced Target only through blogs, but in 2013 there will be one only a few minutes from my house. Yay!
ReplyDeleteThey are opening a Tarjay AND a Marshalls in my little Canadian city very soon! I'm beyond excited.
ReplyDeleteI was also just there today picking up something and of course had to drag my 3 year old through all their new housewares. I LOVED those same things you pointed out- the horse and blue graphic stuff- a candlestick-like yellow lamp base that was pretty sweet. I even saw the lamps and rugs you pointed out and thought the same thing, "dang, back when I was shopping fall/winter at Target, some kick butt design people had probably already planned out this january awesomeness." And then I saw that first table you posted and I kid you not- I thought, "hey that looks like Thrifty Decor Chick's table!" So funny to open your blog and see that tonight. Love Target!
ReplyDeleteOmg! You are my long lost twin sister. I started calling it TarJay because someone told me it was a french owned store and my my first job?....you guessed it TarJay! Only I was a cashier when cashiers actually had to use 10key and ring up everything instead of scan. What is a UPC bar code? We rang up the inch square white stickers. Thank goodness I had youthful eyes because those numbers were small. I don't think I could read them now.
ReplyDeleteOh my favorite place, next to Pottery Barn! I heard from an employee of Pottery Barn that a designer for them left and went to Target. Not sure if it's true but I do find many similar styles. Definitely nicer on the wallet though! Love the milk crates. I need....no, no, no....I WANT them for my pantry! Oh and I especially love their end caps!!!! The item is even better when it's on clearance!
ReplyDeleteI skimmed through the comments and hesitate to say this, but I'm not so crazy about Target. It usually doesn't even register on my radar. Can we still be friends? ;-)
ReplyDeleteDang! I was just at Target today and they did not have the same great items you showed. Guess different parts of the country get different things :-(
ReplyDeleteI'm new to your blog but I LOVE it!!!
Okay, you know I heart you. But I'm going to throw a Debbie Downer comment up in here... I hate that Target is selling FAKE milk crates, and wire baskets made to look old. I hate all the stores that make stuff that looks like the vintage stuff that we all love. Why?? Because the stuff is out there on the shelves of thrift stores and on Etsy and at flea markets just WAITING to go home with you!! The new stuff that's for sale in stores is made overseas, it's overpriced (i've bought wire milk crates for less than $10) and buying 2nd hand extends the life of objects already created. Just give it some thought. Okay, rant over. Carry on. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I do love the lamps!!
Ooooh! I have been to Target looking at boots and children's shoes lately but need to get back there for some cute home decor. Great lamp shades. I have some fabric I am dying to use to transform some lamp shades. Just haven't gotten the guts yet!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, my only little little gripe is that when you do entries like this one, it makes it hard for those of us who don't live in the US to get excited about specific products from a store we can't go to! And Target wont ship internationally so can't do the online thing either. :( Spare a thought for your international following....cheers.
ReplyDeleteLaurie, you must have some amazing antique shops near you! In all my thrifting years I've seen maybe two crates like these, and they were waaay more than Target's price. I think it's fantastic that we can get items that we love -- I could honestly care less where they come from. Obviously. :)
ReplyDeleteAudra, I enjoy these posts and so do many of my readers. You may have to just look away when you see them from this point on if it bothers you so. :) I will continue to do them. (And believe me, I've seen plenty of awesome stores from overseas that I would love to shop at too.)
Of course, of course...I was in Target the other day looking for something for a client (had to buy and run - but had a few seconds to look in the decor aisle!)...and I said to myself "Darn, I wish I had a better camera on my cell phone - I could make this a blog post." And, of course - you beat me to it!
ReplyDeleteI did take one shot of a charming picture of some birds done in a tone on tone gray/brown that I want to recreate on my own. That's it.
Saw many of the same things - and I had the same feeling about that rug. Love the design but the color never works for me either! Great post - thanks...and much thanks for doing the monetization post on Growing Your Blog. I learned a lot!
Linda
I'm a Target lover, too! Unfortunately, we have to drive THREE HOURS to get to one. boo-hiss
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! Amazing what can be found out there! Noone can say "I can't afford a beautifully decorated home"
ReplyDeleteRuthie
I love everything about Target except for the men and women clothing; they fall apart very, very quickly. I do love all the baby stuff and childrens' clothing, decor, etc. though!
ReplyDeleteI live in Australia... our target is crap compaired to that! im loving everything i see and its just not fair!
ReplyDeleteIt's Sunday morning and the Target ad didn't arrive. Drats! I'm going thru withdrawl. Guess I'll have to look at the ad online.
ReplyDeleteLove Target! I just did an order last week online and waiting for my goodies to arrive!
ReplyDeleteSince I have boycotted Walmart, Tarjay is my favorite and, basically, only place to shop. They do have lots of neat stuff and it's hard to stay away from it.
ReplyDeleteYou would have to go and show those wooden milk crates!! I'm going to have to check those babies out. Don't know what I'd use them for, but I can sure spend some time thinking about it.
I was just in Target the other day and fell in love with that rug....but I didn't buy it :( I think I might go back and get it though :D
ReplyDeleteWas at Target on Friday - picked up the same magazine holder, ornate rug and funky green lamp. Also really loved the candles made completely of wax - the "holder" part being wax also and etched with crisscross designs. They're a gold mine of good stuff right now!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been in Target for a long time ... but then went last night to pick up something quickly and saw exactly what you did - they have some great stuff going on there right now!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to say thank you for your blog on the gorgeous lamps at Target right now. I am re-doing my bedroom and the "pop" of color is peacock blue. This lamp was perfect! I ran right out and purchased. If I had not read your blog, I would never have found these. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI love those crates! Can't wait until my Target gets them!
ReplyDeleteJen
www.1creativemomma.blogspot.com
It looks like I'll be going on a Target run soon! So many good things to get!
ReplyDeleteTarget is the best! It definitely eats up a lot of my money!
ReplyDeleteOh yes! I am definitely a Target-aholic! I can go in there and spend hours just looking at the same things like three times a week. Oh. My. Word! I was going to ask where you got those fabulous blue lamps, but it was TARGET!?!? Oh my. I'm in luuuuurve! And I totally call it "Tar-jay" too, never Target! (same with Texas--it's "Tay-has", like they say in Spanish) ;)

Oh my gosh! Yes! I love Target and they just put one in a mile from house. Much of my spare money (and not so spare money) has gone to the new store. I rationalize it with the tax money I am putting back into my community.
ReplyDeleteI once went to buy diapers and came out with: 2 DVDs, 1 CD, about a thousand pairs of the $1 socks, some soda and chips, a new shower curtain, hand weights, and a toy for my son. AKA the most random Target cart ever! I got home and... realized I didn't get the diapers.
ReplyDeleteI love target!!! You can always find anything in clearence!!!
