Board and Batten for the basement familyroom here I come! Oh, and the carpet on the stairs needs to be replaced. It seems when you widen the doorway at the bottom of the stairs it leaves a gaping 12 x 4 inch hole in the carpet where the wall used to be. It was totally worth it though because now I have couches in the basement!

I have three kids and I am so over all the floor vents being covered by mittens and hats and neck warmers. Eventually we will have all sheet rock and no more plaster and lathe. One day... I would love to win this but if we don't I think it is great you are doing this. Julie

My project this year is to do away with the mini blinds through out my house. We have been in this house in NC for only 2 years. We moved here from CA to be near our 3 grandsons, and 8 year old and a set of twins that just turned 7 years old. Being from CA I was so used to now having anything on my widows and being able to leave the windows open year round. I have learned it's a bit different here but we love it. Thank you and Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI do not have a blog; however, your blog is one of the first I was introduced to.
ReplyDeleteMy first project for 2013 is a complete overhaul of my 1970s pantry that has is approxiamatley6 feet wide, two doors and only two 12-inch shelves.

ReplyDeleteOh, how we could use that gift card. This year I want to work on our bathrooms. I want to put breadboard on the walls and build a surround for our tub. That's my goal and " I'm stickin to it!"
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity!

This is my first time viewing your website. I really enjoyed your ideas and can't wait to try some of them. If I won the gift card I would use it to update my master bedroom. We have lived in our home for 4 1/2 years and have spent time and money on our children's room but have not had the money to work on the master bedroom. This would be a perfect birthday gift. (Jan 10th) thanks again for your time.

My husband and I just moved into our new home in October, and already have plans to paint and to put down hardwood throughout. The main living level already has hardwood, and the bedrooms have carpet, but we're planning to take it all up and put down something darker and more our taste.
